What Is the Difference Between the Crystal Structure of WC And W2C?

The crystal structure of WC is noncentrally symmetric, and each cell in its simple hexagonal crystal structure contains 2 atoms; W2C is a close-packed hexagonal structure. The C atom is located in the octahedral space composed of six W atoms. The ratio of W and C is 2:1 in the unit cell.
